Cancelations, Substitutions and Refunds

Organising the SkyRun event is a significant undertaking, with preparations starting at the beginning of the year. Many costs are incurred early on to ensure a professional event with the highest safety standards. As a result, we regret that full refunds cannot be provided once payment has been made.

Refund Policy:

50% of the entry fee will be refunded if cancellation is made in writing (via email at skyrun@farandwide.co.zw) on or before 30th May 2025.
25% will be refunded for cancellations made between 1st June 2024 and 1st August 2025.
No refunds will be available after 1st August 2025.
Substitutions and Transfers:
Substitutions or entry transfers to someone on our waiting list are permitted for an administrative fee of US$100 up to 1st September 2025.
No substitutions or transfers will be allowed after 1st August 2024.

Upgrades and Downgrades:

Participants may upgrade or downgrade their entries if space is available in the desired race.
A $50 administrative fee will be charged for upgrades or downgrades.
For upgrades, participants must also pay the difference in entry fees.
For downgrades, no refunds will be provided for the difference in entry fees once the refund policy has closed.
No upgrades or downgrades will be accepted after 1st October 2025.

Waiting List:

If entries are sold out and you would like to participate, please complete the waiting list entry form. If a spot becomes available, we will provide you with the relevant payment details.

Participants who have been on the waiting list for two consecutive years will be prioritized for entry in the following year.

Extreme Event Warning:

By registering for this event, I acknowledge that SkyRun is an extreme sport with inherent risks and potential consequences. I understand that without adequate preparation—physically, mentally, and medically—I am at risk of severe injury or even death.

I commit to preparing thoroughly for this challenge. I, along with my next of kin and family, waive the right to bring legal action against the event organizers, owners, sponsors, or any individuals associated with SkyRun Zimbabwe for any injuries or fatalities resulting from my participation in this event.

By entering a race under SkyRun Zimbabwe I am herby acknowledging that I have read, understood and agree to all of the above policies relating to cancellation and waivers.

Indemnity / Waiver

NOTICE: This is a legally binding agreement. By entering SkyRun and therfore this agreement, you and your party give up your right to bring a court action to recover compensation, damages, or obtain any other remedy for an injury to you or your property or for your death, however caused, arising out of your, or your children’s, participation in any of Far and Wide Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd, Mutarazi Sky Walk and ZipLine (Pvt) Ltd activities, accommodation(s) including but not limited to all outdoor activities, SkyRun, Ropes courses, High ropes, accommodation(s) the Sky Walk, Sky Line activities, White Water Rafting or within any associated premises of the companies now or any time in the future. Carefully read, complete, and sign before participating.

Acknowledgment of Risk and Release of Liability

1. Understanding of Risk:

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that participation in SkyRun Zimbabwe, an ultra-marathon trail run, involves

inherent risks and dangers, including but not limited to:

• Physical exertion and fatigue

• Uneven and challenging terrain

• Exposure to unpredictable weather conditions

• Risks of injury, illness, or death due to accidents, wildlife encounters, or other unforeseen circumstances

2. Assumption of Risk:

I voluntarily choose to participate in SkyRun Zimbabwe, fully aware of these risks. I accept full responsibility for my own safety and well-being during the event.

3. Medical Fitness:

I confirm that I am physically fit and have no medical conditions that would affect my ability to safely participate in the event. I also agree to inform the organizers of any relevant medical conditions prior to the race.

4. Indemnity Agreement:

I hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless Far and Wide Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd, Mutarazi SkyWalk (Pvt) Ltd, their directors, employees, volunteers, agents, sponsors, and any affiliated entities from any liability, claim, or

demand arising from:

Personal injury, death, or illness
Damage or loss of property
Any other incident that may occur during or as a result of my participation in the event

5. Compliance with Rules:

I agree to abide by all rules, regulations, and instructions provided by the event organizers and marshals. I

understand that failure to comply may result in disqualification without refund.

6. Photography and Media Consent:

I grant the event organizers permission to use any photographs, videos, or other media taken during the event for promotional or marketing purposes without compensation.

Declaration:

By entering this race I, confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this indemnity form. I acknowledge that I participate in SkyRun Zimbabwe at my own risk.
